CSR Project by Students of Department of Information Technology - Intake 38

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”

16 undergraduates of the Faculty of Computing, Intake 38, department of IT/IS, of KDU, decided to venture into a world of self- realization, with one common goal of serving the society.

The prime objective of this CSR project was to inculcate the idea of the importance of learning English to thrive in today’s world, in the minds of students living in rural areas.

Bandaranaike Secondary school Sooriyawewa, a school in the community, was chosen as the starting point, where the undergraduates spent one entire day, on the 31st of October 2022, to conduct an English camp for a student community exceeding 100 in number.

The project ended in an extremely good note, receiving positive feedback from all parties involved, while simultaneously achieving the very objective of this project, by teaching English in an environment of fun and joy.
