CSSL GenZ Student Chapter

Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) which is the apex body for practitioners, academics, students, policy makers, professionals and members of the business community in Sri Lanka commemorated its 45th Anniversary by organizing a webinar named “Gen Z” on 20th May 2021. The keynote speaker for the event was Mr.Nicholas Tate from Australia, who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) South East Asia Regional Computer Consortium.  There were large number of participants representing six Universities in Sri Lanka. Faculty of Computing of KDU as the first ever Student Chapter of CSSL has showcased their glamour within the event.  On behalf of the KDU, the Dean of Faculty of Computing Dr. Asela Gunasekara have delivered a guest speech and the President of the CSSL Student Chapter of KDU, Mr. Anupa Ranasinghe and the committee member MS. Hiruni Rajapaksha conveyed the Student Chapter goals and the agenda which has been planned for the year. Also, the Executive committee of the CSSL Student Chapter was announced. CSSL Student Chapter in charge, Dr. Nirosha Wedasinghe and many other student chapter members have joined to this event.
