Student Symposium 2020

The Faculty of Computing for the first time in KDU history held a Student Symposium that was online on the 17th of December 2020.  Around 50+ students presenting their research and work on five areas of disciplines which includes Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Software Engineering.

The Keynote speakers of the Symposium and their respective topics were as follows:

Professor Asoka S Karunananda, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka

“How to do a Computing Research”

Professor Saman Muthukumarana, University of Manitoba, Canada

“Bayesian Networks Learning for Complex Data”

Due to the prevailing pandemic situation, all the research presentations were conducted via Zoom. Each session was concluded with a “Question and Answer” session. Due to a large number of presentations, the IT and IS disciplines had to have parallel sessions.
