IEEE Student Branch of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University was established in 2016 as a student branch of the mother body. Since then, we have been volunteering and carrying out so many events to provide facilities to students in the fields of Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunication and Robotics. We are here to provide you with the best facilities and opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in the field of technology.

What we have done

Step into Industry 3.0

2025

Step into Industry is a project that was initiated to provide the students with the opportunity to get an insight into the industry. The project was conducted in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University and the IEEE Industry Applications Society Student Branch Chapter of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. The project was conducted in 2021 and was a great success.

𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝟑𝟔𝟎° Entrepreneurship Workshop Successfully Concluded – Organized by the IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch and IEEE WIE Affinity Group of KDU, Ideate 360 was a transformative entrepreneurship workshop held on the 11th of February at the FGS Auditorium of KDU.
