Research Interests
Dr. Pong is an expert in signal processing, statistical signal processing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly in wireless communications with a special focus on integrating AI into smart systems. His research interests encompass the Internet of Things (IoT), exploring data-driven reliability in structural health monitoring, gait abnormality detection with low-power wearable smart shoes, low-cost data acquisition for optical character recognition, coexistence awareness in IoT systems, and environment protection and disaster prediction, extending to innovations in smart greenhouse and smart farming.
