Anupa Ranasingh

I am Anupa Ranasinghe, a dedicated and ambitious individual currently pursuing a Master of Information Technology at Southern Cross University in Australia. My academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at KDU, where I laid the foundation for my passion in the field. During my time at KDU, I had the honor of serving as the President of the CSSL Gen Z student chapter, marking a significant milestone as the first student club affiliated with the Computer Society of Sri Lanka. In this leadership role, my team and I spearheaded initiatives that not only fostered a sense of community among IT enthusiasts but also contributed to the growth and development of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka. One of our key achievements was formulating a clear vision and strategic priorities for the CSSL Gen Z chapter, aligning them seamlessly with the broader goals and visions of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka. Working collaboratively with CSSL board members, we played instrumental roles in orchestrating major events such as the National IT Conference (NICT). These events served as platforms to showcase the talent and innovation within the IT community while advancing the organizational objectives. Furthermore, our commitment extended beyond the confines of organized events. We actively organized and hosted various activities, including tech talks and quiz competitions, aimed at enriching the learning experience for fellow KDU students and extending opportunities to those outside our institution. Through these events, we sought to create a dynamic and engaging environment that fostered knowledge exchange and collaboration among students passionate about information technology. Our journey as student leaders has instilled in us a deep appreciation for the transformative power of collaboration, innovation, and community engagement within the realm of information technology. As I continue my academic pursuit at Southern Cross University, I am eager to leverage our collective experiences and skills to contribute meaningfully to the ever-evolving landscape of IT.
