Mathlete 24 Kicks Off with a Thrilling Day of Competition!

The much-anticipated Mathlete 24 kicked off today, bringing together brilliant young minds from KDU Southern Campus for an intense day of problem-solving and mental challenges. The first day of the competition was designed to challenge students’ logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and creativity in mathematics. Participants will face a variety of questions covering topics such as algebra, geometry, differentiation and probability, ensuring a rigorous and engaging experience. Mathlete 24 aims to foster a love for Mathematics while promoting teamwork, critical thinking and quick decision-making under pressure. The competition maintained a spirited yet collaborative atmosphere, with students encouraging each other while aiming for top scores.

Day 1 set the tone for what promises to be a highly competitive and exciting event. The energy in the room was obvious as students raced against the clock, vying to solve as many problems as possible within the allotted time. The HOD of Department of Information Technology Sir. WAAM. Wanniarachchi , lecturers, instructors and volunteers cheered from the sidelines, admiring the quick thinking and resilience of the young Mathletes. As the day concluded, all eyes turned toward the leaderboard, eagerly awaiting the top performers who would advance to the next round. With Day 2 ahead, the competition promises more high-energy problem-solving and mathematical feats.
