CSR Project Promoting IT literacy to foster SDGs Achievement

In an effort to promote awareness and engagement regarding the use of Information Technology to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a workshop was conducted for Grade 10 students of H/Sooriyawewa National School on November 30, 2023, at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Southern Campus.  

This initiative was headed by the Department of Information Technology as part of their Community Social Responsibility Projects. The workshop titled ” Bridging the Digital Divide for Sustainable Development” aimed to harness the potential of IT literacy in fostering socio-economic progress aligned with the United Nations’ SDGs. Mr. WMSRB Wijayarathna, Mr. WAAM Wanniarachchi, Mr. HAN Ishara, and Ms. Dinoo Gunasekara conducted the workshop for the group of students with the primary goal of exploring the nexus between IT literacy and promoting sustainable development.
