EXORDIUM 2025, the Annual General Meeting of the IEEE Student Branch, IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) Student Branch Affinity Group, and IEEE Computer Society Student Branch Chapter at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), was held on 14 March 2025 at the Faculty of Graduate Studies Auditorium. The meeting, conducted from 1430 to 1700 hours, marked a significant milestone in IEEE KDU’s journey.

The AGM facilitated the official transition of leadership, with the newly elected Executive Committee and Subcommittee Heads for the 2025/26 term receiving their official badges. Distinguished guests included Prof. S. Vasanthapriyan, Chair of the IEEE Sri Lanka Section, who delivered the keynote address. Other notable attendees included Dr. Prabhani Liyanage, Chair of the IEEE WIE Sri Lanka Section, along with university officials.

In his keynote address, Prof. Vasanthapriyan emphasized IEEE’s role in advancing technological innovation, research, and professional development. He encouraged students to actively engage in IEEE initiatives, highlighting their impact on the global technology landscape.

The meeting concluded with the formal recognition of the new leadership team and the presentation of tokens of appreciation to outgoing executive committee members. With renewed momentum, IEEE KDU looks forward to another year of impactful initiatives and technological advancement.
