Industry Visit to Virtusa Pvt. Ltd. for Intake 39

Entrepreneurial Support, Industrial Training, and Career Guidance Unit (eICU) of the Faculty of Computing successfully organized an industry visit to Virtusa Pvt. Ltd. for the Intake of 39 undergraduates from Information Technology, Information Systems, and Data Science & Business Analytics disciplines on the 10th March 2025. This visit gave students valuable insights into the corporate world, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

The event featured four key sessions to enhance students’ understanding of the IT industry and professional expectations. It began with a session on ‘How to Get Hired’, where students received guidance on the recruitment process, resume building, and essential skills to secure positions in leading IT firms. As part of this session, students also participated in mock interviews conducted by Virtusa professionals, receiving constructive feedback and guidance on improving their interview performance. This was followed by an informative session on Virtusa’s company overview and work culture, providing insights into its operations, values, and impact on the global IT sector. The third session focused on Data Fabrics, introducing students to modern data management techniques and their significance in the evolving IT landscape. The visit concluded with an insightful session on the Business Analyst Role, where students learned about the responsibilities, required skills, and career opportunities within this domain.

This initiative was a remarkable opportunity for students to engage with industry professionals and gain firsthand experience of corporate life.
