The Annual Padura (Classical Sinhala Music Program) was held for the fourth time on the 4th October at the KDU Southern Campus and the event was organized by undergraduates belonging to Intake 36 of the Department of IT, Faculty of Computing. The chief guest for the event was Brigadier Adeepa Thilakarathna, Rector Southern Campus. The Dean, Faculty of Computing, Commodore Janaka Gunaseela , the Dean , FBESS, Dr Ranjith Rupasinghe and other dignitaries were also participated for the event.
The occasion was graced by Mr Sujith Dissanayake, a notable public speaker and language expert. Mr Dissanayake expressed his views on some of the songs that was sung. Evergreen Sinhala hits were sung by undergraduates and academia. A tribute mashup was sung in memory of the late Professor Carlo Fonseka.
