The Department of Information Technology of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University-Southern Campus hosted SEGP GT 2.0, an online guest talk via Zoom, on August 10, 2024, for the undergraduates of faculty of computing. The session featured Mrs. Eranga Rajapaksha as the guest speaker, a distinguished Quality Assurance and Process Manager at Embla Software Innovation Pvt Ltd and the Product Owner of the esteemed Norwegian genealogy application, Embla Family Treasures.

Her presentation focused on the critical aspects of software testing, a key component of quality assurance. She provided a comprehensive overview about creating test cases, various testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing, and discussed best practices for ensuring software reliability and performance. Her extensive background and practical experience enriched the discussion, providing students with a well-rounded perspective on the importance of quality assurance in software development.

Students actively participated in the session, engaging with Mrs. Rajapaksha through thoughtful questions and discussions. Her approachable demeanor and expert knowledge created an engaging learning environment, making the session both informative and interactive.
