Guest lectures conducted by industrial professionals formulate an integral attribute of the degree programmes offered by the Department of IT enabling the undergraduates to acquire new knowledge of the evolving IT industry. The undergraduates of Kotelawala Defence University Southern Campus were given such a valuable opportunity to expand their knowledge in the field of Artificial Intelligence, which is the next generation of modern computing, on 21^st January 2020. This guest lecture  was delivered by Mr. Rohan Karunaratne, a Senior IT Consultant – Research and Development, Technical and Technology of Fetsynergies Sri Lanka. The lecture was held at the main auditorium of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University Southern Campus, and it was graced by the Rector Southern Campus, Brigadier Adeepa Thilakaratne and the academia of the Department of Information Technology. The participants derived a rich learning experience at the end of the day.
