On August 5, 2024, a workshop was held for 30 police officers at the National Police Academy in Katana, organized by the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Computing. The workshop aimed to enhance the officers’ skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application.

The sessions covered essential features of Microsoft PowerPoint, with officers participating in hands-on activities to ensure they could effectively use the tools in their work. This workshop is part of the police academy’s basic computer program, designed to strengthen the technological skills of its personnel.

Key contributors to the workshop included Udya Senevirathne, Devindika Kariyawasam, and Chathuri Jayasinghe, whose expertise and resources played a crucial role in the success of the event. Their guidance helped empower the officers to create compelling presentations.
